LAHORE:The Punjab government has decided to establish a Resource Directorate in Wasa to improve management of assets and revenue.
Secretary Housing Noor Ul Amin Mengal directed formation of the directorate, to be headed by an Additional Director General (Resources) with supporting staff. The new body will oversee administrative control of Wasa’s resources and income streams.
He also instructed DG Wasa Tayyab Fareed to ensure effective performance evaluation of all agencies and prompt redressal of public complaints. The secretary said machinery is being provided across districts to strengthen field operations and improve service delivery.
