LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Energy and Sports Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar has announced that one thousand grounds will be developed under the ‘Khailtay School’ Programme.
He made this announcement while addressing a meeting at National Hockey Stadium on Monday. The meeting was attended by Secretary Sports M Ali, DG M Tariq Qureshi, SBP Vice Chairman Malik Suleman, and other senior officials.
The meeting focused on youth development, promotion of sports, and provision of modern facilities, resulting in several key decisions.During the meeting, it was decided to establish E-Library Centres across the province in collaboration with the Education Department. It was also agreed to set up sports labs in both public and private educational institutions to provide students with modern sports facilities.
The provincial minister directed that special programmes be launched for capacity building of the Youth Affairs Department to effectively harness the potential of young people.Additionally, digital skills initiatives, sports talent hunting, and training programmes will be enhanced to provide youth with opportunities at national and international levels.
