LAHORE: Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has remarked in her X message that today is a proud moment for Pakistan.

“Few could have imagined our nation taking a leading role on the global stage, yet here we stand. The prime minister, deputy prime minister and our field marshal have played a pivotal role in restoring the country’s stature and pride. Their leadership has brought renewed confidence and honour to Pakistan, making every Pakistani truly proud. Alhamdolillah!”

Meanwhile, she extended a cordial welcome to Sikh pilgrims arriving to participate in the Baisakhi Festival and conveyed her heartfelt felicitations, greeting them with “Ji Aayan Nu”. She observed that the Baisakhi Festival reflects an atmosphere of joy, love and harmony, stating that “the expressions of happiness and affection visible on every face truly represent the cultural beauty of Punjab”.

She remarked that it is a matter of pride and honour for the people of Punjab to host their Sikh brothers and sisters on their sacred land.

She assured that no effort would be spared in extending exemplary hospitality to visiting Sikh pilgrims. Comprehensive arrangements have been ensured for their transportation, accommodation, meals and security. She highlighted that for the first time, air-conditioned marquees, well-facilitated residential arrangements and luxury transport have been provided for the guests.

She emphasized that the protection of minority rights in Punjab is clearly evident through practical measures, manifesting as a bright and undeniable reality.
