GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Date for the Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) assembly elections has been formally announced.
According to a notification issued by the Election Commission (EC), June 7 2026 has been fixed for the elections in respect of GB Assembly.
Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan, while making a formal announcement, said that these elections will be held under the Elections Act 2017 and GB Order 2018. All the arrangements will be completed in accordance with relevant laws. The notification issued by the election commission has been sent for publication in Pakistan Gazette.
