Police have identified a charred body found in Karachi’s Mochko Katu Goth area as that of a missing youth from Orangi Town, marking a significant development in the case.

According to police, the deceased was identified as Faizan Satti alias Faizi, a resident of Faqir Colony in Orangi, who had been missing for the past two days after leaving his home.

His family had reported him missing and carried out a search on their own, but their hopes were shattered when police confirmed that the charred body recovered from Mochko belonged to Faizan.

Investigators suspect that the victim was kidnapped, murdered, and his body set on fire to conceal his identity. While initial findings suggest the possibility of personal enmity, police said all angles are being examined.

The Crime Scene Unit has collected evidence from the site, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest those involved. Police expressed confidence that the suspects would be apprehended soon.

The victim’s family remains in deep shock and is awaiting justice. Faizan’s disappearance had sparked concern in his neighbourhood, where he was last seen leaving home on what appeared to be a routine outing. When he failed to return, his family searched extensively before approaching the police.
