WAPDA clinch double glory at National Table Tennis

LAHORE: WAPDA reaffirmed their dominance in Pakistan’s table tennis circuit by emerging as the overall champions in both the Men’s and Women’s categories at the 61st National Table Tennis Championship, held in Peshawar.

Competing across nine categories, WAPDA showcased remarkable consistency and strength, securing four Gold medals, one Silver, and five Bronze medals. Their gold medal haul came in the Men’s Team Event, Women’s Team Event, Men’s Doubles, and Women’s Doubles, underlining their superiority in both collective and paired formats.

In individual competitions, WAPDA players also delivered strong performances. In the Men’s Singles, they claimed two Bronze medals, while in the Women’s Singles, Bisma Faryal impressed with a runner-up finish to secure Silver. The team added three more Bronze medals across other categories, bringing their total tally to five. “This commanding display not only highlights WAPDA’s depth of talent but also reinforces its position as the powerhouse of Pakistani table tennis. By winning across multiple formats and categories, WAPDA has once again set the benchmark for excellence, adding another proud chapter to its sporting legacy.
