Oceans cover more than 70 per cent of our planet and support billions of people, but they are now under serious threat because of human activities. Marine life is suffering due to pollution, overfishing and climate change. Every year, huge amounts of plastic enter the oceans, harming sea creatures and disturbing the natural system. Industrial waste, oil spills and rising temperatures are also damaging coral reefs and habitats.
Governments need to enforce strict laws, industries should adopt eco-friendly practices and individuals must reduce plastic use, recycle and spread awareness. Protecting life below water is our shared responsibility. If we act wisely today, we can ensure a safer and healthier future for generations to come.
