Army dominate day two of U18 Hockey Championship

ISLAMABAD: The Youth Under-18 National Hockey Championship 2026 continued with great intensity and excitement on its second day at the Bunda Ground, as three matches produced impressive performances and high-scoring encounters.

In the first match, Azad Jammu and Kashmir secured a convincing 6-2 victory over Islamabad. Saif was the standout performer, scoring four brilliant goals to steer his team to a comprehensive win. Abdullah and Hassan contributed one goal each, while Islamabad’s Abdul Basit scored both goals for his side.

The second match saw Sindh-2 defeat Balochistan 3-1 in a competitive outing. Goals from Abdul Basit, Ali Raza and Shahzeb Shah ensured a solid win for Sindh-2, while Muhammad Talha Mir netted the lone goal for Balochistan.

The third match turned into a one-sided affair as Army thrashed Sindh-1 8-0. Army juniors displayed exceptional attacking prowess, with Muzammil Saeed, Bilal, Ammar Ali Hanzla, Shoaib Sultan, Ehtesham, Zain and Hassan each scoring a goal to complete a dominant victory.
