Sindh Minister for Educational Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo has expressed strong displeasure at the chairman of the Karachi Matric Board over the failure to issue and provide online access to students’ admit cards.
He said that due to the negligence of the board administration, students and parents are facing severe anxiety, and a clarification must be submitted within three days. Rahoo said the delay in providing admit cards has caused thousands of students and parents mental distress and uncertainty, and the responsibility lies with the relevant officers, particularly the IT team and related staff.
He sent a letter to the chairman, directing that action be taken against those responsible for this serious negligence. He warned that if a satisfactory response is not received within three days, disciplinary action will be initiated against those at fault.
He further said that media reports indicate that a few “black sheep” are damaging the reputation of the board. He also demanded a clarification regarding the failure to upload admit cards on time and irregularities in the allotment of examination centres.
He added that these shortcomings must be rectified immediately and a comprehensive plan for the future be presented to ensure that students’ academic year is not affected. He stressed that no form of corruption or laziness will be tolerated in the education system.
