LAKKI MARWAT: Police in Lakki Marwat have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in the sexual assault of a minor girl, officials said on Tuesday.
The complainant, Ahmad Jan, reported that his minor had gone to fetch water from a nearby tube-well when she was allegedly assaulted.Taking immediate notice of the incident, Regional Police Officer Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer Nazeer Khan ordered swift action to apprehend the suspect.
A police team, the officials said, led by DSP Shahi Bakht Khan and SHO Imran Khan, conducted a successful operation and arrested the accused from his locality. The officials said further investigation was underway, adding that strict legal action will be taken against the suspect in accordance with the law.They maintained that police were following a zero-tolerance policy against such crimes and are committed to ensuring justice and protection for citizens.
