Islamabad: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced that the National Examination Board (NEB) examinations will be held in Rawalpindi on May 16.

The portal for candidate registration will be live from April 9 to 24. The PMDC advised all eligible candidates to immediately complete their registration within the prescribed timeline. "This is also an opportunity for students who are currently pursuing their medical and dental education in Iran to appear in the examination," it said in a statement.

The PMDC said it conducted the NEB exam twice a year to assess the knowledge, clinical skills and professional competence of students who had partially completed medical or dental education abroad and seek transfer or admission in Pakistan. The exam will be computer-based and consist of multiple-choice questions.

Pakistani students enrolled in foreign medical or dental institutions who have completed two years of study and reached at least the third year are eligible to take the NEB. Passing the exam is required for transfer and admission into Pakistani institutions for the next academic year.
