Islamabad:Dr. Oumer Hussien Oba, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE), presented his Letters of Credence to President Asif Ali Zardari, during an official ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Tuesday, says a press release.
Following the ceremony, the president held a bilateral meeting with the Ambassador to review the full spectrum of Ethiopia-Pakistan relations.Both sides, during the meeting, reaffirmed a shared commitment to deepen their cooperation across both bilateral and multilateral platforms. Their discussions focused on exploring the immense potential in strategic sectors such as climate change, aviation, agriculture and business to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
On the occasion, Ambassador Dr. Oumer conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of President Taye Atske Selassie and Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali (PhD) to the president and the people of Pakistan.
During the exchange, the Ambassador expressed Ethiopia’s profound appreciation for Pakistan’s “Look Africa and Engage Africa” policies and its resolute commitment to strengthen ties with the East African nations including Ethiopia.
