ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram Monday blamed the government for its alleged incompetence and poor policies, having made the lives of the people miserable.

“Inflation has reached an all-time high, food items have become unaffordable for the masses, while the ruling class appears to be completely indifferent to public problems,” he said in a statement issued here.

This government, he charged, has completely failed to provide relief to the masses and is hiding behind political vendettas and cases to cover up its failures. He maintained that the PTI makes it clear that “we will neither bow down nor back down from the struggle for the rights of the masses”.

The nation, he contended, is now witnessing and understanding everything, and God willing, this incompetent government will be answered with public power very soon. Meanwhile, the PTI expressed deep concern and regret over the postponement of the hearing of the Al-Qadir Trust case once again and noted that the continuous postponement is not only making the process of justice susceptible but is also strengthening the impression that the judicial system is being deliberately used for delaying tactics.

“We raise the question of how long will justice continue to be postponed? Is the provision of justice no longer a priority? Repeated delays are against the basic principles of justice and are seriously damaging the public trust,” the party said in a statement. The party demanded of the judiciary to ensure a prompt and transparent hearing of this important case so that justice is seen to be done.
