The inexperience of a controller of examinations appointed from Larkana to the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) is said to have plunged hundreds of thousands of matriculation students into severe distress, as they struggled to obtain admit cards for their Class IX and X examinations.

The administrative inefficiency has not only caused widespread hardship but also forced the board to extend the examination schedule by three days, pushing the commencement date to April 10.

On Monday morning, thousands of students reached the board office to collect their admit cards, creating an overwhelming situation for the staff. The mismanagement, coupled with overcrowding and jostling, resulted in significant difficulties for students attempting to secure the mandatory documents.

The board administration also failed to issue admit cards through its digital system. Consequently, authorities were compelled to release manual admit cards, a process that led to prolonged waiting times and further aggravated the situation.

Later, the board issued a revised examination timetable, confirming that the examinations will now begin on April 10.
