Over 38,000 incorrect e-challans cancelled as AI system introduced

LAHORE:The use of modern technology has been accelerated to make the traffic system more effective and transparent, under which an AI-based e-challan system has now been introduced.

Punjab Safe City Authority (PSCA) has implemented a new AI-based e-challan system on the CM’s instructions, which aims to ensure implementation of traffic laws and bring transparency in the challan process.

According to the PSCA spokesperson, if a citizen is issued a wrong e-challan, a regular review system is also active for its redress, where the right decision is taken after examining the complaint. According to statistics, more than 38,000 incorrect e-challans have so far been cancelled, while more than 162,000 citizens have benefited from this review facility. The authorities have directed citizens to use the review option only in case of genuine complaints, AIas the e-challan will be upheld if a violation is proven.

Snap checking intensified

Lahore Police have intensified snap checking and picketing to curb crime. According to the spokesperson, over 60,000 vehicles and more than 200,000 bikes were checked in 3 months.
