LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan has directed the deputy commissioners to keep a daily check on fuel stock, delivery and supply data in the districts, keep in touch with fare charged by the district's transporters. Commissioner said that ACs, Secretary Transport, PERA Force, Price Magistrates must be in the field for checking and monitoring.
She said that the instructions of the Punjab government are clear, there is no exemption for illegal profiteering, checking teams must be in the field and keep the prices of food items moderate.
A divisional meeting chaired by Commissioner Lahore Division Marryam Khan reviewed fuel stock, supply, price control and fare checking. Commissioner reviewed the progress of beautification and development works in the entire division.
She said that development works must be completed in every tehsil as per the timelines.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Muhammad Ali Ijaz visited Tehsil Wagah to review ongoing development works under the Lahore Development Programme (LDP) Phase II.Issuing on-the-spot directions, the DC ordered that street surfaces be properly levelled and manhole covers aligned with road level to avoid inconvenience to residents.
