Committee formed to report on doctor’s death

LAHORE:The Children's Hospital and University of Child Health Sciences, Lahore, has formed a four-member committee comprising of the following members to furnish a fact finding report of the unfortunate demise of Dr Ahmed Lateef.

The committee comprised of Prof Saima Farhan, Prof of Paediatric Haematology, (Chairperson), and three members, including Dr Ali Abu Zar, Additional Medical Superintendent, Dr Hafiz Muhammad Atif Nasir, Additional Medical Superintendent, and Dr Ayesha Khanum, Assistant Professor Paediatric Haematology (In-charge blood bank).

The committee was directed to submit its recommendations within 24 hours positively in the office of the undersigned.The body of doctor, who went missing three days ago, was found in a car on Sunday. According to the police, Dr Ahmed Latif had been missing for the past three days. His family had reported his disappearance to the hospital administration. However, his body was found in his car parked on the hospital’s premises, which was immediately reported to the police. The police reached the spot, collected evidence and started an investigation.
