Global warming has become one of the most alarming challenges of our time. According to climate experts, carbon dioxide levels reached 422 ppm in 2024, the highest ever recorded. This was also the warmest year in history. These numbers clearly show that our negligence presently has transferred our planet into a hot water. The major causes remain the same: factories and vehicles burning and releasing fossil fuels excessively and continuing deforestation.
When forests disappear, the air loses its natural ability to filter carbon dioxide and the heat-trapping gases keep accumulating. If we do not act now, future generations will face extreme weather, food shortages and dangerous heatwaves. I strongly urge world organisations and governments to take prompt action by reducing emissions and promoting large-scale tree-planting. Together, we can still protect our planet before the damage becomes irreversible.
