LAHORE: Lahore General Hospital has been selected by the Health Services Academy, Islamabad, as one of four designated training sites across
the country for the Postgraduate Diploma in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) marking a significant achievement for the institution.
According to the hospital sources on Friday,the hospital secured the highest score among all tertiary care healthcare facilities in Punjab during the first evaluation visit under the IPC programme.
The accomplishment highlights strong administrative leadership, effective teamwork and a firm commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare services.
The visiting team from the Ministry of Health appreciated the hospital’s infrastructure, well-organised systems and the effective implementation of comprehensive SOPs.
These SOPs were described as practical sustainable and aligned with national standards and were also recognised as a model for other healthcare institutions.
The achievement has been made under the supervision of Principal Prof Farooq Afzal and was seen as a reflection of the collective efforts of the administration, MSDS team and supporting staff.
