A three-year-old girl who was abducted from Karachi was safely recovered in a joint operation carried out by the Anti-Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) of the Sindh police and Rawalpindi police on Friday.

Officials said the child, identified as Nazia, daughter of Muhammad Allah Khan, was kidnapped on March 11 from outside her residence in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area while she was playing, sending shockwaves through the neighbourhood and leaving her family in deep distress.

Soon after the abduction, the kidnappers contacted the family and demanded a ransom of Rs5 million for her release. The case was immediately taken up by the AVCC, which initiated an investigation using technical surveillance and intelligence-based methods to trace the suspects.

As the investigation progressed, the authorities tracked the movement of the kidnappers to Rawalpindi. Acting on this information, a joint operation was planned in coordination with the Rawalpindi police.

The operation was conducted within the jurisdiction of the Dhamial police station where the suspects were believed to be hiding. During the raid, law enforcement officials successfully recovered Nazia without any harm. Police sources confirmed that the child was found in a secure location and was immediately taken into protective custody before being reunited with her relieved family.

However, the kidnappers managed to flee the scene during the operation. Police have launched a manhunt and are making efforts to arrest those involved in the crime. Officials expressed confidence that the suspects would be apprehended soon.
