PESHAWAR: Mera Ghar - Noor Education Trust (NET) organized a capacity-building workshop focusing on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and improving case management practices.

According to a press release issued here on Friday, the workshop aimed to strengthen institutional capacity and promote a more coordinated and effective response to GBV cases.Representatives from the district judiciary, police department, and Directorate of Prosecutions, including officials from Charsadda and Mardan, attended the session.

The sessions emphasised survivor-centred approaches, covering key aspects such as understanding GBV, addressing myths and facts, and fostering empathetic engagement. Discussions highlighted challenges in case management while introducing best practices, practical strategies, and interactive group work to enhance professional skills.The workshop underscored the state’s responsibility to ensure prevention, protection, and meaningful participation of women, while strengthening access to justice.
