LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab’s selection committees conducted the under-18 hockey trials of all divisions in Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur on Wednesday.
The trials were conducted with the collaboration of Punjab Hockey Association to select Punjab’s four teams for the U-18 Youth Hockey Championship being organised at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad, under the auspices of Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
More than 110 young hockey players from Lahore and Gujranwala Divisions participated in the trials held at the National Hockey Stadium Pitch-2. Olympian Kh Junaid, Director Sports Chand Perveen and Divisional Sports Officer Lahore Tariq Khanzada supervised the selection process.
