A bicycle rally organised by the Palestine Foundation was held in Karachi on the occasion of World Earth Day, drawing a large number of participants from political, religious and civil society circles.

The rally commenced from Teen Talwar in Clifton and passed through various city roads before concluding at the Karachi Press Club, where a protest demonstration and public gathering were held.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Dr Sabir Abu Maryam, Dr Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, Allama Hayat Najafi, Sahibzada Saqib Naushahi, Israr Abbasi, Aram Butt, Allama Mirza Tahir, Bashir Sudozai, Jamshed Hussain, and Pir Muaz Nizami, along with representatives of minority communities.

Participants carried Pakistani and Palestinian flags, as well as placards displaying images of leaders and martyrs from Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. The rally featured strong slogans against the United States and Israel, with protesters condemning their policies and actions in the ongoing conflicts.

Addressing the gathering outside the press club, speakers expressed unwavering support for the people of Palestine, vowing to continue their struggle until the liberation of Al-Quds. They emphasised the importance of global solidarity with oppressed nations, particularly Palestine and Kashmir.

The speakers criticised what they described as serious human rights violations by the United States and Israel, alleging that Palestine, Lebanon and Iran were being subjected to aggression and violence. Some leaders accused global powers of fueling conflicts in the region to serve their strategic interests.

Religious and political leaders urged the Muslim countries to adopt a unified strategy and openly condemn actions against Palestine and Iran.

They also called for collective resistance against what they termed as aggression by the United States and Israel. The speakers reiterated their commitment to standing with oppressed nations and raising their voices for peace and justice in the region.
