The prime minister’s orders banning the use of hi-octane fuel in government vehicles is really commendable. However, I hope the technical experts have also examined the matter to ensure that engines that are designed to run on hi- octane fuel are not damaged by the use of an inferior product, thus leading to costly repairs or replacement.
