Water shortage is a serious social issue in my neighbourhood in Rawalpindi. Many people in the area do not receive enough water for their daily needs such as drinking, cooking and washing. Sometimes, the water supply comes for a very short time and many houses do not get water properly. This problem occurs because of the rising population, old and damaged water pipelines and poor water management. As a result, residents face many difficulties and sometimes have to store water in tanks or buy water from tankers.
To solve this problem, the local authorities should repair old pipelines and improve the water supply system in the area. Regular water schedules should also be provided so that everyone can get water fairly. People in the community should also avoid wasting water and use it carefully. If the government and the community work together, the water shortage problem can be reduced and people can live more comfortably.
