LAHORE: Former champions Karachi Kings head into the Pakistan Super League Season 11 with renewed hope under the leadership of Australia’s World Cup-winning opener David Warner.

After several underwhelming seasons, the Kings appear determined to rebuild and re-establish themselves as serious title contenders. Karachi Kings have assembled a squad that blends international star power with proven domestic performers. The leadership of David Warner is expected to bring aggression and clarity at the top, while the inclusion of England all-rounder Moeen Ali adds balance and versatility. The batting unit features hard-hitting names like Johnson Charles, Azam Khan, and Khushdil Shah, all capable of accelerating the scoring rate. Meanwhile, Salman Ali Agha provides stability in the middle order.

On the bowling front, Karachi possess a potent mix of pace and spin. The experienced Hasan Ali leads the attack alongside emerging star Mohammad Abbas Afridi, while Australia’s Adam Zampa offers world-class spin options. Left-arm seamer Mir Hamza and the exciting Ihsanullah further strengthen the pace unit.

David Warner’s appointment as captain could prove a game-changer. Known for his aggressive batting and leadership experience in franchise cricket worldwide, Warner’s role will be pivotal in setting the tone at the top of the order.

Moeen Ali remains one of the most valuable assets in the squad, capable of contributing in all departments. His off-spin will be particularly useful on turning tracks, while his batting provides flexibility across the order.

Azam Khan and Johnson Charles bring explosive power, but both have struggled with consistency in recent seasons. Their ability to deliver under pressure will be crucial for Karachi’s success. Similarly, Khushdil Shah and Shahid Aziz offer finishing options but must improve their reliability.

In the bowling department, Hasan Ali’s experience and wicket-taking ability make him a key figure, while Mohammad Abbas Afridi’s recent PSL performances have established him as a rising star. Adam Zampa’s presence adds control and wicket-taking potential in the middle overs.
