A man and his wife were found dead inside their house in Bilal Colony, District Central, in Karachi.

According to rescue officials, the bodies were taken to the Bilal Colony police station.

SHO Anwar Sheikh said the bodies appeared to be two to three days old. The deceased were identified as 77-year-old Noor, son of Yousuf Khan, and his 45-year-old wife Huma Jabeen.

Police said the woman was the second wife of the deceased. The incident came to light after the man’s daughter from his first marriage tried to contact him on Eid but received no response.

After repeated unanswered calls, she alerted the police. Upon arrival, police and family members broke open the door and entered the house. During the search, the woman’s body was found in a room, while the man’s body was recovered from the rooftop.

Police said the case appeared mysterious and investigations had been initiated from multiple angles. Both bodies were later shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination. The investigators said the exact cause of death would be determined after medical reports were received.
