In a significant step towards strengthening public safety and maintaining law and order, the Sindh police have established a dedicated Crowd Management Unit (CMU) under the directives of IGP Javed Alam Odho.
The initiative aims to ensure a swift, professional, and coordinated response to riots, public gatherings, and emergency situations across urban areas. These include the Special Security Unit (SSU), Security-I, Security-II, Court Police, Madadgar-15, and the Foreigners Security Cell. By bringing together these diverse units under one command structure, the CMU is expected to deliver a more disciplined and effective approach to handling large-scale events and potential disturbances.
