Rawalpindi : Former Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare Punjab, Dr. Jamal Nasir visited various welfare institutions in Rawalpindi on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, sharing festive moments with children and elderly residents while promoting compassion and social responsibility.

He visited Anjuman-e- Faiz-ul-Islam, where he spent time with students from remote areas residing there for education. Accompanied by Colonel Jameel, Tahir Zia, Izhar Fatima, Group Captain Pervaiz Akhtar, Badar Munir and Riffaqat Shah, he distributed Eidi (gift money) among children and staff and expressed good wishes for their future. The children’s happiness and smiles reflected the positive impact of care and attention, with some calling it one of their happiest Eids.

Later, he visited Dar-ul-Afiyat Old Age Home and spent time with elderly residents, distributed gifts and inquired about their well-being.

Several residents became emotional, highlighting the importance of care and companionship for senior citizens.

Dr. Jamal Nasir said the elderly were a valuable asset of society but many faced loneliness, urging people to spend time with them and make them feel valued.

He also visited Dar-ul-Falah along with Director Social Welfare Muhammad Shahid Rana, where he distributed Eidi among children and shared joyful moments with them, encouraging them and assuring them of society’s support. He said philanthropists should go beyond financial assistance and personally visit such institutions, as even a moment of kindness could be more valuable than money.
