LAHORE:Lahore Police have placed the city on high alert for Eidul Fitr, deploying over 9,000 officers and personnel to ensure security during congregations and festivities.According to a police spokesperson, a comprehensive security plan has been finalised to maintain law and order situation.
CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana said strict measures would be implemented across the city under the Eid security plan. He maintained that special teams of the Women Police Squad had been deployed at markets and public places to ensure the safety of women and children.
He directed supervisory officers to personally oversee and review Eid-related security arrangements. The CCPO said Dolphin Squad and Police Response Unit teams would ensure effective patrolling throughout the city.
