ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26) has been rescheduled to November 12-13, 2026 from its original April 8-9 dates due to evolving regional developments and uncertainty in the international travel environment affecting several key markets, organisers announced on Monday.

The flagship investment event will still be held in Islamabad, where global investors, mining companies, policymakers and industry leaders are expected to convene to explore opportunities in Pakistan’s mineral sector.

Organisers said the decision followed consultations with government counterparts and international partners, who concluded that shifting the forum to November would provide greater certainty for overseas participation and help ensure strong global representation.

While Pakistan itself remains outside the conflict zone and international travel to the country continues to operate normally, the revised timeline is expected to offer a more stable window for international delegations to attend the high-level gathering.

The Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum is positioned as the country’s premier platform for showcasing its mineral wealth and expanding investment partnerships. The event brings together mining companies, exploration firms, service providers, financial institutions and government stakeholders to discuss opportunities and policy frameworks shaping the sector.

Pakistan has been actively promoting its mining industry as a pillar of long-term economic growth, highlighting major projects such as the Reko Diq Copper-Gold Project in Balochistan, which has renewed international interest in the country’s resource potential.

Despite the change in dates, organisers said preparations for PMIF26 remain fully underway, with programme development, international outreach and partnership engagement continuing ahead of the November event.

They added that the forum will aim to deliver a high-impact, internationally attended platform reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to responsible mineral development and deeper global investment partnerships.
