KARACHI: Gold prices fell by Rs1,800 per tola on Monday, following a decline in the international bullion rates.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) said 24-karat gold dropped to Rs522,762 per tola, while the price of 10-gram gold fell Rs1,543 to Rs448,184.The prices dropped by $18 in international markets, where gold settled at $5,000 per ounce. Local prices in Pakistan are typically benchmarked to global rates with a premium of $20 per ounce. Silver also retreated, with the per-tola price falling Rs100 to Rs8,441. The 10-gram rate declined Rs86, closing at Rs7,236.
