LAHORE: The franchise Pindiz has unveiled a star-studded coaching line-up for the upcoming season, headlined by the appointment of West Indies legend Courtney Walsh as bowling coach. Walsh, one of the greatest fast bowlers in cricket history, brings immense experience and technical expertise to the role. His illustrious playing career included 519 Test wickets and 227 ODI wickets, with the distinction of being the first bowler to reach the milestone of 500 Test wickets. Inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2010, Walsh has since built a strong coaching résumé, working with Bangladesh’s national team, the West Indies women’s side, and various franchise leagues.
At Pindiz, Walsh’s presence is expected to significantly strengthen the bowling unit, offering guidance on pace strategy, workload management, and player development. His mentorship will be crucial in nurturing emerging talent and sharpening the
skills of established bowlers.
The broader coaching staff reflects Pindiz’s ambition to build a competitive and well-rounded setup. Inzamam-ul-Haq will serve as President and Mentor, providing strategic leadership, while Justin Kemp, the former South African all-rounder, takes charge as Head Coach. Abdur Rehman joins as Head of Competitive Strategy and Assistant Coach, with Shahid Aslam appointed Performance Coach and Rafatullah Mohmand as fielding coach.
