LAHORE:Shahdara Town Police foiled an attempt to supply drugs worth millions of rupees and arrested a suspect and his wife.
According to the spokesperson, acting on a tip-off, police stopped a motorcycle rider identified as Dildar and his wife and recovered 19 kg charas, 1 kg ice and registered a case against them. Police said the suspects used to supply drugs in Lahore while posing as a couple riding a motorcycle and transporting the narcotics in plastic bags to avoid suspicion.
Robbers gang busted; 2 members arrested
Naderabad Police busted a robbers’ gang and arrested its two members involved in mobile snatching and motorcycle theft during an operation.According to the spokesperson, the Naderabad Police Post carried out the operation after receiving a tip-off, arrested two members of the gang, including its alleged ringleader Adnan and accomplice Waqas. Police recovered four mobile phones, two motorcycles, two pistols with magazines and bullets from the suspects and registered cases against them.
Meanwhile, Akram Park Police Post busted a robbers’ gang that allegedly worked as labourers during the day and committed robberies at night.According to the spokesperson, police arrested the gang’s alleged ringleader Najeebullah and his accomplice Izhar-ul-Haq. Police recovered cash and weapons from the suspects and registered a case against them.
