KARACHI: Gold prices dropped by Rs2,900 per tola in the local market on Thursday following a decline in the international rates.According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs540,362 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs2,486, bringing it down to Rs463,273.In the international market, gold rates fell by $29, settling at $5,176 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices decreased by Rs179 to Rs9,175 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs153 to Rs7,866.
