LAHORE:The Government College University Lahore (GCU) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) have signed an MoU for the implementation of an e-Filing and Office Automation System (EFOAS) at the university, aimed at digitising administrative processes.
The accord was signed by GCU Registrar Dr Shaukat Ali and PITB Director Development & Procurement Ata-Ur-Rehman. The agreement seeks to modernise office procedures through the use of information and communication technologies, making administrative operations more efficient, faster, and more transparent. Under the MoU, an e-filing and office automation system will be introduced at the university to digitise official correspondence and file movement. The initiative is expected to reduce delays in administrative work while improving the professional capacity of staff and enhancing institutional efficiency. Technical support and training to GCU staff and Faculty will also be provided by PITB to ensure the effective implementation and operation of the system.
