LAHORE:On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem, strict security arrangements have been finalised across the province on the occasion of the Day of Martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA). In view of the prevailing border situation, IG Punjab has issued orders to further tighten security.
More than 30,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed for the security of mourning processions and gatherings across the province, including Lahore, while in Lahore more than 8,000 officers and personnel will perform duties for the security of mourning processions and gatherings. IGP directed RPOs, CPOs and DPOs to personally check the security arrangements.
