KARACHI: Gold prices dropped by Rs6,500 per tola in the local market on Monday following a decline in the international rates.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs533,362 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs5,573, bringing it down to Rs457,271.

In the international market, gold rates fell by $65, settling at $5,106 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices decreased by Rs37 to Rs8,894 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs31 to Rs7,625.
