Lahore to host majority of PSL 11 matches

LAHORE: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) management has finalized and shared the complete schedule for Season 11, which begins on March 26 and runs until May 10. The tournament will feature 44 matches across multiple cities, with Lahore confirmed as the primary venue.

The season will launch with hosts Lahore Qalandars vs Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on March 26. As par the breakdown of matches by venue, Lahore to hold 14 matches, Rawalpindi: 10 matches, Faisalabad: 7 matches, Karachi: 6 matches, Multan: 4 matches and Peshawar: 2 matches (though sources suggest these may be shifted to Multan).

To manage player workload, rest days have been scheduled on March 30, April 7 and 21, May 1 and 4. The playoff stage will begin in early May with Qualifier on May 2 (Rawalpindi), Eliminator 1: May 3 and Eliminator 2: May 5 (Lahore) while the Final on May 10 – venue is under consideration.

The PSL 11 final is scheduled for May 10, though the venue has not yet been finalized. Sources indicate the PCB is considering staging the final overseas, with proposals for the United States or United Kingdom. Alternatively, Lahore remains a strong candidate depending on logistical and strategic factors. The final decision will rest with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

With the schedule confirmed and the new PSL logo unveiled, preparations for Season 11 are in full swing. The expanded eight-team competition promises high-intensity cricket, with Lahore at the heart of the action and the possibility of a historic overseas final adding intrigue to the buildup. PSL 11 is expected to feature 44 matches across multiple cities, bringing top local and international cricket talent together for Pakistan’s flagship T20 competition.
