ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s top-ranked tennis player, Muzammil Murtaza, made an impressive start to his campaign at the ITF M15 Futures Tournament in Kesari, Turkey, defeating India’s Aditya Kothari 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the main draw.
Murtaza dominated the contest from the outset, conceding just one game in a one-sided encounter that highlighted his superiority over his Indian opponent. The Pakistani player secured a main draw wild card through the joint efforts of the Pakistan Tennis Federation and the Turkish Tennis Federation, enabling him to compete at the international event and gain valuable exposure on the professional circuit.
