Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday visited the Iranian Consulate in Karachi to express deep sorrow and condolences over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders.

During his visit, he met Consul General of Iran Akbar Eissa Zadeh and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the government and people of Sindh. He offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

Shah also recorded his sentiments in the condolence book, expressing solidarity with the people of Iran in what he described as a moment of profound grief. “Our government and the people of Sindh stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Iran in this hour of sorrow,” he said.

Accompanying the chief minister was Sindh Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah. A day earlier, the CM, along with Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Syed Riaz Shah Shirazi, minister for religious affairs, had offered their condolences to Allama Shehenshah Hussain Naqvi, president of Jafaria Alliance Pakistan, on the martyrdom of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei.

On the occasion, Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi, Allama Nisar Ahmed Qalandari, Maulana Mubashir Zaidi, Shabbir Raza Zaidi, Shams ul Hassan Shamsi, and Riaz ul Hassan Naqvi, among other notable personalities, were also present. The CM and provincial ministers recited Fateha and offered prayers for Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and for those who were martyred during the anti-US protests in Pakistan.
