KARACHI: Gold prices continued with the correction on Wednesday, falling by Rs10,000 per tola in the local market following a decline in the international rates.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs539,962 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs8,573, bringing it down to Rs462,930.
In the international market, gold rates fell by $100, settling at $5,172 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices, however, increased by Rs100 to Rs9,004 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also rose by Rs86 to Rs7,719.
