697 students of HU get laptops

MANSEHRA: The Federal Minister for Haj and Religious Affairs, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, on Tuesday gave away laptops to 697 male and female students of Hazara University under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme.

“This is a revolutionary programme to equip students with laptops so that they could sail in modern and research-oriented education,” he told the ceremony held at the Hazara varsity.Hazara University Vice-Chancellor Dr Akramullah Khan was also present on the occasion.

Sardar Yousuf and PMLN office-bearers in Hazara division distributed the laptops among students of different academic departments.Speaking on the occasion, Dr Akramullah Khan said that a laptop was one of the modern gadgets needed by students to excel in research-oriented education.“I am optimistic that our students would utilise these laptops in their research and other academic work to compete with their counterparts in universities worldwide,” he added.
