Islamabad: Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui on Tuesday said the federal government was working to ensure educational facilities for every child to realise the true spirit behind the creation of Pakistan.

Addressing a ceremony here in connection with the 'No Child Left Behind' campaign for out-of-school children, the minister urged parents, teachers and members of society to actively support and promote the initiative in a manner that its message reaches across the country.

Highlighting the importance of education, he said Pakistan’s most important foundation was its religion, which begins with the word 'Iqra', leaving no ambiguity about the significance of learning.
