Gold prices drop Rs13,900 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed a heavy correction on Tuesday, falling by Rs13,900 per tola in the local market following a decline in the international rates.According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold dropped to Rs549,962 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold decreased by Rs11,917, bringing it down to Rs471,503.

In the international market, gold rates fell by $139, settling at $5,272 per ounce. Local gold prices are typically adjusted with a premium of $20 over international rates.Silver prices decreased by Rs1,146 to Rs8,904 per tola. The price of 10-gram silver also dropped by Rs983 to Rs7,633.
