Some strange things are seen daily on the city roads. There are dustbins on some roads but all waste was on the streets instead of dustbins. Actually, outdoor dustbins play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and supporting a sustainable lifestyle. Proper placement and regular use of dustbins not only improve visual hygiene but also promote long-term environmental awareness in communities.

“Outdoor waste bins are essential for urban sanitation and public health. They reduce disease risks. Littering can attract pests and spread harmful bacteria. Dustbins help control waste and prevent public health hazards. Accessible and well-placed dustbins help build eco-conscious behavior in communities,” says Mateen Haider.

“Publicly visible dustbins in parks, streets, and schools teach people to dispose of waste properly. Consistent waste disposal habits foster a collective sense of environmental responsibility. When designed and deployed thoughtfully, these bins help create healthier, more livable communities for everyone,” says Syed Saleem Shah.

“The dilapidated streets of the city need attention. Heaps of garbage cover its roads and there is no proper system of waste management. Garbage is openly thrown roadside. Rubbish is a common view to the common person of the city,” says Safdar Husain Rizvi.
