Islamabad : The district administration in Islamabad has decided to accelerate its crackdown against illegal Afghan migrants, issuing a comprehensive public advisory outlining strict enforcement measures and calling for citizens’ cooperation.
The Rawalpindi district administration has already asked to launch crackdown on the Afghan national illegally living in Rawalpindi district.
According to the advisory, residents have been urged to immediately report the presence of any illegal Afghan migrants to their nearest police station. Citizens may also contact the district administration’s control room at 051-9108084 to share relevant information.
The administration warned that legal action would also be taken against individuals found hosting or facilitating undocumented migrants. Magistrates have been directed to check the documentation of suspicious individuals, while assistant commissioners have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the advisory at all checkpoints across the district.
The advisory further states that bus terminals will not be permitted to operate without obtaining the required security-related No Objection Certificate (NOC). Authorities have also ordered the immediate arrest of Afghan nationals residing in the city without valid visas.
In addition, specific directives have been issued to trade unions and vendors operating in the vegetable market.
The administration has instructed that no Afghan national without a valid visa be allowed to engage in any form of business activity. It cautioned that strict legal action would be taken against those found conducting business with or employing undocumented Afghan migrants.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to enforcing immigration laws and maintaining security in the federal capital, emphasizing that cooperation from citizens is essential for the effective implementation of these measures.
