Islamabad: The Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) has ordered immediate and strict security enforcement across its campus and student residential areas amid ongoing regional tensions.
Through a notice, the office of the registrar ordered tight security arrangements throughout the university grounds, academic departments, hostels and staff housing. The notice was sent to key university officials, including deans, department heads, wardens and administrative officers, to ensure full compliance.
In the official notice, all security personnel were instructed to conduct strict checks at all security posts and entry and exit points.
Vigilance is to be increased at all times and existing security procedures must be followed without exception. Hostels will receive reinforced security, particularly during evenings and at night, with wardens and staff expected to remain fully alert and compliant.
Security officers are also instructed to closely monitor student bus stops, transport routes and parking areas, with random checks permitted. Loitering at bus stops will not be allowed and unnecessary gatherings are to be discouraged to prevent any untoward incidents.
