KARACHI: JazzWorld will showcase Pakistan’s AI-driven digital transformation at the GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, which runs from March 2 to 5.

Chief Executive Officer Aamir Ibrahim will lead a cross-functional delegation to the annual telecoms gathering, where he is expected to take part in discussions on the use of artificial intelligence in financial services, cross-border digital commerce and governance in emerging markets.

On the sidelines of the event, Ibrahim is scheduled to meet government representatives, multilateral institutions including the World Bank, and technology firms such as Meta to explore partnerships in digital infrastructure, financial inclusion and AI-led services.

JazzWorld, which operates more than 100 million users across its platforms, has expanded beyond connectivity into fintech and enterprise services as part of its broader digital strategy. The company plans to highlight how mobile platforms and AI applications — including digital payments, credit assessment and fraud prevention — are being deployed at scale in Pakistan.

The Barcelona forum is one of the telecom industry’s largest annual events, drawing operators, policymakers and technology companies from around the world. JazzWorld’s participation comes as Pakistan seeks to position itself as a growing digital market within the Global South.
