The 2nd Sukkur Trade Exhibition & Seminars organised by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) successfully concluded at the IBA Public School on its second day on Sunday.

The two-day exhibition showcased Sindh’s immense trade, business and export potential with a special focus on agriculture and agro-based products.

Exhibition booths remained open for the general public and delegates throughout the event attracting a large number of business representatives, entrepreneurs, students and families.

A key highlight of the concluding day was virtual interactive sessions with the trade and investment officers (TIOs) from Dhaka, Bangladesh; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Tokyo, Japan; Beijing and Guangzou, China; and Manchester, the United Kingdom. The sessions provided local exporters and businesspersons with an opportunity to explore international market access and strengthen trade linkages.

In the afternoon, a seminar on agriculture and horticulture was held titled ‘Transforming Pakistan’s Agriculture for Global Trade: Value Addition, Certification and Market Access’. It featured expert presentations and interactive discussions with chambers of commerce representatives, industry experts and sector specialists.

The session emphasised the need for modern agricultural practices, value addition, compliance with international standards and export certifications to enhance Pakistan’s competitiveness in global markets. It concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony in the evening recognising the participation and contributions of exhibitors and stakeholders.

The exhibition reaffirmed TDAP’s commitment to promoting regional trade, supporting small and medium enterprises, and connecting local businesses with global markets. It also demonstrated Sukkur’s growing importance as a trade and business hub in Sindh.
